A crowd favorite from the very start, this song was featured on Nicolas the Storyteller's show live from North Miami when it was released. It was the first single off the album back in '99. There is always hope that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Hope is a beautiful thing. I did my best to channel the Bee Gees on this one. Enjoy!
lyrics
Standing in the cold rain, waiting for the sun
Stranger days are coming, I guess that's why I'm on the run
I saw you at the coat check, it's the last I saw of us
Now you're somewhere up in New York
I'm down here waiting for the bus
Waiting for the bus
I guess I'm too old fashioned baby for the both of us
You're just like a dream girl and I am just in love...
The letter that you wrote me put my mind on track
I guess it was the last straw to brake the camels back
I've been in and out of darkness ever since you've been away
And now you are somewhere up in New York
And I think I'm on my way
I am on my way
I can't live with out you baby and I don't want to try
I'm so lost without you honey, it doesn't matter why...
I finally got to New York, working on romance
How was I to find you and propose a second chance
But then I saw a rainbow rising from the city dust
And like a sign above from Heaven I saw you waiting for the bus
